Here are the Appostolic Mission Projects for the catechetical program.

You will need to fill out a form and turn it into Kathy Cafferata in order to recieve credit.

December 1 through 11
Catholic Social Service Santa program: Wrapping Presents

1. Dec. 1-11: help wrap Christmas presents

2. Dec. 11 Assist with the Santa Party:
        a.  3 pm (after school) meet at CSS and load wrapped presents to take to Newman Center between 3-5 pm -                  needs 3-4 drivers with two helpers.
        b.  At Newman Center- prepare for party - five helpers
        c.  5:45 pm Meet at the Newman Center - 6-8 pm Santa party - 10 people needed
        d.  Clean up crew - 10 people starting at 7:45 pm
        e.  After December 15 Additional help may be needed, as we get closer to Christmas as CSS, they have agreed              to help Pat Benton's program for Kids.
        f.  A Saint Andrews Group:  a large number of children are sponsored from the parish - you can help wrap and                 deliver presents to CSS.

Christmas Caroling for Guatemala
Wal-Mart then back to Xavier Hall for Sloppy Joes!

    We are having a Christmas Party and Caroling at the Wal-Mart store between Carbondale and Murphysboro, we are caroling for our sister Diocese in Guatemala.  We will then go to Saint Francis Xavier to have a Christmas party with Sloppy Joes, chips, soda, hot chocolate and Christmas cookies.

Replacing the lights on our float for the Lights Fantastic Christmas Parade

We will meet at Xavier Hall and drive to the Tomczak's to work on the float.

Christmas Giving Tree
-Saint Francis-
    Two of three students are needed to carry gifts from the church to the hall the Sunday after Thanksgiving and the first week of December.
-Saint Andrews-
    A group of students are needed for their Christmas projects.

S.P.I.N. (Supporting People in Need)
Who are they?
    This organization provides at no charge clothing, household items, furture to people who have been displaced and         are starting over.
When can you help?
    Any Friday afternoon of Saturday during the day for as many hours as you can help.
How will you help?
    You would be sorting bags of clothing and putting them in the appropriate rooms for distribution.
Who is in charge?
    Cherie Green runs this non-profit organization.
